Here is a video I made last April of a crow visiting our bird bath. It was the best entertainment on my birthday, what a great show!
Also, here are blue jays visiting in September 2026:
My New Friends
I have new friends now;
the crows that visit the bird bath
leave presents for me, an old coin,
a squirrel's paw, a dead bird,
this is more than my old friends ever did;
other birds enjoying the bird bath
visit me, sparrows, grackles, robins,
and cardinals dressed up in red feathers,
and I leave them fresh water every day;
they watch for my arrival, and they know
I stand at the dining room window
for their visit; they are better
than my old friends, they don't over stay
their welcome, they don't expect anything
out of me; my new friends,
dear friends
of an old man
who no one else
cares to visit.
