This was where my maternal grandparents John Parker and Bessie Chew, lived from around the late 1930s to 1965. My grandparents were originally from Blackburn, Lancashire, England.
My Uncle John and Auntie Muriel lived in the upper flat; that is, my grandfather’s son and his family.
