Down at the Village Shopping Plaza

The Village Shopping Plaza is boarded up; cement barriers keep people from parking their cars in the large parking lot behind the buildings, no one is dumping their garbage there anymore... But you can always depend on someone to change the plans. Looks like someone has entered the building with a ladder, not sure if this was done by the owners or by someone else. As far as I know we don't have squatters around here, but maybe we do.

Three Vehicule Poets interviewed

Here's an interview Ken Norris, Endre Farkas, and I did last spring; with thanks to Carolyn Marie Souaid for her excellent questions and Collett Tracey for her equally excellent and perceptive introduction. Thanks to rob mclennan for publishing it on periodicity.

The garden today

Beautiful weather today after two days of cold (+15 C); no mosquitoes, many birds singing, a brilliant red cardinal, some other birds visiting the bird bath, the garden at its height. And life is good.

Go with your Inner Hermit

Having to live with problems in today's world--war in Europe and a lot of conflict between people in society--I would prescribe gardening for anyone who wants some inner peace and quiet. Go with your Inner Hermit, the eremite gardener, the almost-recluse, the walking in society but not of society... and a few birds along for the journey. Even a tiny garden, a few containers on a balcony, is escape from the world and an invitation to birds and insects to visit.
